2025 Chrysler Airflow Concept: The Chrysler Airflow Concept is the futuristic prototype of Chrysler’s first-ever electric vehicle, which is due to arrive in 2025. The Airflow Concept is a stretched electric sedan with room for 4 passengers and features a hatchback-style trunk. Chrysler to go all-electric by 2028, starting with the Airflow in 2025

As the first of three new EVs planned in Chrysler’s transition to full electrification, the 2025 Chrysler Airflow will revive the name of a 90-year-old model from the automaker’s history books when it arrives in late 2024 as a 2025 model.

Built on a new Stellantis electric vehicle architecture, the Airflow is a low-riding crossover with seating for four and a futuristic interior that boasts interconnected screens for all occupants, a camera per seat for video conference calls, and AI integration.

On the technical front, a dual-motor electric powertrain delivers 400 horsepower, while a newly developed 118-kWh battery pack gives the 2025 Chrysler Airflow 350-400 miles of range on a charge. Level 3 autonomous driving and over-the-air updates are part of the package that will attempt to take on luxury automakers like BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

The 2025 Chrysler Airflow will fit into a new slot within the Chrysler lineup, likely rivaling the Mercedes EQE SUV. Styling will deviate little from the Airflow Concept shown at CES 2022, which appears to be almost entirely production-ready. Pricing remains a mystery, but with the current trend of EVs becoming remarkably more affordable, a $40,000 starting point seems reasonable.

The 2025 Chrysler Airflow will be an all-new model from Stellantis, part of the automaker’s expansive EV product plan. The company has already trademarked the Airflow name, which has ties to a historic Chrysler model from the 1930s.

Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The Airflow concept car has a dual-motor setup with electric motors front and rear. Each provides 201 horsepower, but the company has not released a combined output figure. A single-motor setup with either front- or rear-wheel drive will likely be standard, with this optional dual-motor setup providing an all-wheel drive.

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

The 2025 Chrysler Airflow concept has a four-seat arrangement, but it’s likely the production car will have a more conventional five-seat setup with a rear bench. The cabin looks airy and spacious, with a glass roof and futuristic design elements. The rear cargo area looks to hold a fair amount of stuff, although Chrysler has not provided measurements.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The 2025 Chrysler Airflow concept features multiple display screens, including screens for the driver, passenger, a central infotainment display, and rear-seat entertainment screens. Chrysler says these screens use a new software interface and that they are capable of downloading over-the-air updates.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Chrysler says the 2025 Chrysler Airflow will be capable of Level 3 autonomous driving but has not yet shared much information about how its STLA AutoDrive system works.
