Backed By ‘The King of The Baggers’ series, the new 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide ST packs the more-powerful 127 lb-ft Milwaukee-Eight 117 motor.

The 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide ST is the lightest offering with the “Street Glide” name at 814 pounds. For reference, the stock Street Glide weighs in at 827 pounds and the Street Glide Special at 928 pounds. Add its light-weight appeal, to the torquey 117 Milwaukee-Eight V-Twin, and you get a machine that reminds us of the King of the Baggers race bikes.

It has a single deep-scoop seat with no rear seat option and passenger pegs. The deep seat is to help you not slide off the bike under extreme acceleration! The cool dark theme and low-slung stance tickles right at the hot-rod spot and gives the 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide ST a rad street cred.

The 117 Milwaukee-Eight V-Twin engine, which was earlier only offered in CVO models that include the likes of the CVO Street Glide, is wreaking havoc in the 2022 line-up of Harley-Davidsons.

And it is in its most powerful state in the 2022 Street Glide ST. This chunky powerhouse churns out 106 hp and 127 lb-ft of torque (3 hp and 2 lb-ft more than the other 2022 offerings packing this same engine).

It is coupled with the Heavy Breather performance intake and the sporty new exhaust to get the most fun out of this mill. If this is not fun enough, then the Screamin’ Eagle performance upgrades are at your disposal to make it an even more of a mental Harley-Davidson!

Harley-Davidson has gone the sinister route with the styling for the 2022 Street Glide ST. All the powertrain components are blacked out. The contrast bronze wheels add the right pinch of drama to this iconic-looking machine.

The iconic batwing fairing and low-profile windshield adds to the visual drama and also complements its aerodynamic appeal with cut-outs and fins for air to pass through, smoothly.

The front fairing is packed around the famous Daymaker LED headlamp, and the taillight is LED now as well. The saddlebags are taken right off the base Street Gide model and go quite well with the laid-back design.

The narrow front fenders help give the Street Glide ST a compact appeal. But don’t expect to lean aggressively with these, as these aren’t upswept like those on the 2022 Low Rider ST. The 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide ST comes in two shades – Vivid Black and Gunship Gray, with the latter adding $575.

Pushing the hot-rod angle, Harley-Davidson describes the new Street Glide ST as having “the purposeful stance of the Screamin’ Eagle Factory race bike.” It’s all about dark, with Vivid Black and Gunship Gray being the only color choices, with the latter running an additional $575.

Black dominates the motor and chassis, with selective accents. The cylinder fins are machines, revealing the reflective metal, and the pushrod tubes and tappet covers get some chrome.

The cast aluminum Prodigy wheels have a Matte Dark Bronze finish that is reprised in the tank graphic and lower rocker box, as well as the timer cover and intake medallions.

Adding to the King of the Baggers feel is a solo seat with plenty of lower back support to keep you in the saddle during aggressive acceleration. Standard-length saddlebags give the 2022 Harley-Davidson Street Glide ST a sportier look than the Special’s extended bags, and the front fender is abbreviated.

Mounted in the iconic batwing fairing is a touchscreen Boom! Box GTS infotainment system and a pair of speakers—Harley-Davidson thoughtfully hides the antenna. Upfront, there’s a Daymaker LED headlight, and cruise control makes long hauls more comfortable.
