Norwegian Sky is a Sun-class cruise ship owned and operated by Norwegian Cruise Line. She was originally ordered by Costa Cruises as Costa Olympia from the Bremer Vulkan shipyard in Germany, but she was completed in 1999 by the Lloyd Werft shipyard in BremerhavenGermany for the Norwegian Cruise Line under the name Norwegian Sky. Between 2004 and 2008, she sailed as Pride of Aloha for NCL America.

Completely Refurbished in 2019 From the moment you step aboard, you’ll see that Norwegian Sky, refurbished from bow to stern in 2019, offers something for everyone. On our Bahamas cruises, your options are nearly limitless with 10 dining options, a wide variety of bars and lounges, an onboard spa, and a cruise casino that has all of your favorite games and slots.

The popular Norwegian Sky offers 3- and 4-day cruises year-round to the Bahamas from Miami. And, if you decide to bring the kids, we’ll keep them entertained all day, whilst you lounge by the pool, play in the casino, or enjoy dinner at one of many restaurants.

Each of the Norwegian Sky cruise ship deck plans is conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and a detailed review of all the deck’s venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides extensive information on Norwegian Sky staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans, and amenities by room type and category.

Norwegian Sky cruise ship deck plan shows a total of 1002 staterooms for 2004 passengers (max capacity is 2405) served by 900 crew-staff. The boat has 12 decks (9 passenger-accessible, 7 with cabins), 13 dining options (5 complimentary), 12 lounges and bars, 3 swimming pools, 5 Jacuzzis (outdoor whirlpool hot tubs), 8 elevators.

During NCL Sky’s 2017 refurbishment, the ship was retrofitted with new “scrubbers” (exhaust gas cleaning systems). The new scrubber technology reduces the equivalent of approx 1500 tons of the poisonous gas Sulfur Oxide. Norwegian Cruise Line was the first cruise company retrofitting with a scrubber hybrid system vessels while in service. The new in-line scrubbers (5 units) are lightweight and able to operate in a dry mode, as well as in open and closed loops.

During drydock 2019 (Jan 25 – Feb 6, done at Grand Bahama Shipyard in Freeport Bahamas), renovations were made to pool deck and some lounges, also the Starbucks Coffee Bar was added.
