2023 KTM XC-W: KTM has shown its off-road bike and dual-sport bikes for 2023. This includes the 150XC-W, 250XC-W, and 300XC-W two-strokes as well as the 350 and 500 EXC dual-sports.
This is only the first wave of KTM’s new-bike offerings and has minimal changes; the two-strokes still feature TPI fuel injection and the dual-sport bikes have the previously existing chassis.
We expect the second wave of announcements soon, and those should include the new chassis seen on the Factory Edition as well as an entirely new two-stroke motor with an electronic power valve and a reconfigured fuel-injection system.
In the marketing realm, TPI is gone from the model names of the three 2023 KTM XC-W two-strokes—the 300, 250, and 150—though they still feature the innovative fuel injection system.
The 2023 graphics pay gentle tribute to the KTM enduro models of the 1990s, with white, purple, and orange taking center stage on the stickers. Also, the frame is now orange—something we were used to seeing only on special editions.
Returning features include WP Xplor suspension, with a linkage-free shock with progressive damping. An electronic oil pump eliminates premixing gasoline and two-stroke oil and reduces oil consumption. Electric starting is standard on all three 2023 KTM XC-Ws, with the 150 retaining a backup Kickstarter.
New for 2023, an all-new graphic design and white, purple and orange color scheme come together into a seamlessly blended palette. This color scheme was specifically chosen by the designers to pay homage to the early ‘90s enduro models, setting the 2023 KTM range apart from anything else on the trails.
The looks are further emphasized with the use of a race-inspired orange-coated Chromoly steel frame. Not only does this echo the styling on full-factory race machines but provides the perfect backbone to set off the next-level agility of these trail and tech carving machines.
