The full redesign for the 2023 Nissan Rogue Sport should see the subcompact SUV receive an updated design. We expect the Rogue Sport to receive some inspiration from the new Rogue.
The front end of the Rogue Sport will gain sharper headlights, a more angular front end, and a larger version of Nissan’s shield grille. The rear end of the SUV will feature sharp taillights, a bulky rear bumper, and deep lines in the liftgate.
The Nissan Rogue Sport, known as the Qashqai outside of the US, will be all-new for 2023. The Qashqai was unveiled on February 18 but Nissan has not yet provided a Rogue Sports premiere date. In any case, they’re identical vehicles and a completely redesigned exterior and interior are expected.
A few teaser images have already been released showing new LED headlights linked to narrow daytime running lights that merge into the signature V-motion grille.
It will also come equipped with a nine-inch infotainment display with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility. Drivers will have a separate 12.3-inch gauge cluster screen.
Power will come courtesy of a 1.3-liter turbocharged mild-hybrid with around 158 horsepower. A CVT gearbox is expected and an all-wheel-drive will be optional. A hybrid version is also in the pipeline.
ENGINE AND IMPLEMENTATION
Although other markets will receive a hybridized model, the U.S. 2023 Nissan Rogue Sport will likely continue to use a gasoline-powered four-cylinder.
We anticipate Nissan will pair this engine exclusively to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) but offer buyers the option of front- or all-wheel drive.

The 2023 Nissan Rogue Sport‘s new cabin looks thoroughly updated, with a more artfully shaped dashboard, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and a tablet-style infotainment display.
Photos of the Europe-market model are likely representative of the top-spec SL trim and feature quilted leather upholstery, stitched dash and door panels, and a digital gauge display.
