MSC Sinfonia pays homage to the symphonies of the great composers in a thoroughly modern reinterpretation of the classic cruise experience.
Stylish designer interiors combine clean lines and every modern comfort with the warmth of traditional natural wood, brass, and marble, bringing each stunning venue on this ship its own unique feel.
The contract price for the ship was $245 million, and her yard number was X31. Both new ships were built on the same platform as MS Mistral, built by the same shipyard for Festival Cruises in 1999, but with an added 35 meters (115 ft) midsection providing more passenger spaces, and one additional deck of cabins with private balconies.
MSC Sinfonia divides its time between Venice, offering cruises to Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, and Greece, and in the winter it repositions to the east coast of South Africa, offering short cruises from Mozambique to South Africa.

MSC Sinfonia cruise ship deck plan shows a total of 975 staterooms for 1950 passengers (max capacity is 2340) served by 770 crew-staff. Before the stretching, MSC Sinfonia had 777 cabins for 1554 pax (max 2223). The boat has 13 decks (9 passenger-accessible, 5 with cabins), 4 restaurants, 10 lounges and bars, 2 swimming pools, 2 Jacuzzis (outdoor whirlpool hot tubs), 9 elevators.

MSC Sinfonia decks are named after famous composers.
