Norwegian Sun is a Sun-class cruise ship operated by the Norwegian Cruise Line. She entered service in 2001 in a dual christening ceremony at the Port of Miami with Norwegian Star. It was constructed at the Lloyd Werft shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany.
Refurbished in the spring of 2018 as part of The Norwegian Edge program, the Norwegian Sun is shining bright. Experience Bliss Ultra Lounge and dance the night away on Deck 6, head up to Deck 12 for Spinnaker Lounge or grab a bite at Los Lobos Cantina. These are just a few of the exciting changes on board. Come see what’s new
The bright multi-deck atrium, complete with a large circular skylight at the top, is the hub of the ship and features three decks of shopping, lounging and learning about your cruise. Four inward-facing glass elevators make for great views of the action below. A midsized ship with less than 2,000 passengers (double occupancy), Norwegian Sun is big enough to offer plenty of onboard amenities and space, yet small enough to not feel overwhelming.
Service is spot on, with crew members around the ship who are highly visible, friendly, and eager to help, whether it’s to point you in the direction of the lounge, answer a question about a shore excursion, or handle a special stateroom request.
Each of the Norwegian Sun cruise ship deck plans is conveniently combined with a legend (showing cabin codes) and a detailed review of all the deck’s venues and passenger-accessible indoor and outdoor areas. A separate link provides a piece of extensive information on Norwegian Sun staterooms (cabins and suites), including photos, cabin plans, and amenities by room type and category.
Norwegian Sun cruise ship deck plan shows a total of 968 staterooms for 1936 passengers (max capacity is 2323) served by 910 crew staff. The boat has 12 decks (9 passenger-accessible, 8 with cabins), 16 dining options (5 complimentary), 11 lounges and bars, 2 swimming pools, and 5 Jacuzzis (outdoor whirlpool hot tubs), 8 elevators.
