The 2023 Acura Integra comes with a high performance, functional versatility, and distinct design details come together in the next-generation 2023 Integra. Featuring a VTEC® Turbo engine and available 6-speed manual transmission, the Integra brings a new level of excitement to the driving experience. With unmistakable style, and power you can feel, the Integra is high energy inside and out.

ENGINE AND IMPLEMENTATION

The new Integra is powered by a 200-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine borrowed from the Honda Civic Si. All models are front-wheel drive and come standard with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). A-Spec models can be had with an optional six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. An adaptive suspension system is available as well, and the A-Spec model adds an Individual drive mode to the Integra’s drive-mode selector switch which allows drivers to save a customized setting.

During our initial test drive, we found the 2023 Acura Integra to be lively and spry. The steering is heavy-weighted but satisfyingly direct and the adaptive dampers allow the driver to choose between a comfortable cruising ride or a stiffer performance-oriented setup for better cornering fun. Road noise is too evident, however, and we wish Acura had integrated more sound-deadening materials throughout the car’s design. When we get a chance to put the Integra through its paces at our test track, we’ll update this story with test results.

ENERGY AND REAL WORLD-MPG

The 2023 Acura Integra gets just one engine with a choice of a CVT or manual transmission. We rate it a 6 here for the 30 mpg city, 37 highway, 33 combined EPA rating for the CVT.

CVT fuel economy drops slightly to 29/36/32 mpg in the A-Spec model. Opt for the manual and the ratings fall to 26/36/30 mpg.

INTERIOR, CONVENIENCE, AND BOOTH

The 2023 Acura Integra’s cabin benefits from comfortable front seats and a spacious rear cargo area, but the rear seat is compromised despite plenty of leg room. We rate it a 6 here.

Acura outfits the ILX with nicely bolstered seats with standard 8-way power adjustments for the driver. The A-Spec adds 4-way lumbar adjustments for better back support, and basic 4-way power passenger seat adjustments. The front row has good room in all dimensions for larger or smaller drivers.

The rear seat boasts a generous 37.4 inches of leg room, but the seat bottoms sit too low to provide the thigh support needed for long trip comfort. The Integra seats five, but the Integra isn’t wide enough for three adults tol fit in the back comfortably.

IN-VEHICLE INFOTAINMENT AND INTERCONNECTIONS

Acura offers the Integra in base, A-Spec, and A-Spec with Technology Package models. The $31,895 base model comes standard with synthetic leather upholstery, an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, heated front seats, a 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-speaker audio system, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The $33,895 A-Spec model adds 18-inch wheels, LED fog lights, and an A-Spec Appearance Package with matte and gloss-black exterior trim, including a rear spoiler, and stainless steel pedals and contrast stitching inside.

PROTECTION AND DRIVER-ASSISTANCE ASPECTS

A host of driver-assistance features are included as standard in the Integra, including automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. A-Spec models with the optional Technology package come with front and rear parking sensors.
