The REV Ocean Yacht is a 183m (600ft) expedition and research yacht. It is currently under construction at VARD in Norway. The vessel will be delivered to her owner in 2024 (following the June 2021 announcement of a 3-year delay in delivery).
The REV Ocean Yacht is built for environmental research missions in partnership with WWF Norway, the Research Expedition Vessel REV Ocean will also be available for charter for recreational purposes and expeditions and will become the largest vessel in the world available for charter up to 36 guests.
The result of collaboration, discussions, and input from technologists, scientists, and environmentalists, she offers the ultimate in expedition yacht charters on a scale not previously seen by the industry.
With the first research voyage planned to have taken place in 2021, it is now suggested that it could be a further five years before the REV Ocean Yacht, which is the largest superyacht in the world at 183-metres, belonging to Kjell Inge Røkke, will touch the water.
At an enormous 182 meters and with a gross tonnage (GT) of 16,000GT, she is expected to secure the title of the world’s largest yacht, both in terms of length and volume.
